September is here once again and we are off to a wild start! No, I don’t mean my new crew of Ripplers is wild ….. well, maybe they’re a little on the rowdy side right now, but we’ll work on that … I mean September’s been wild. It’s the weather. It’s almost like Mother Nature is letting us sample all she has to offer.
For the first few days of school, we started out with July-like weather – warm, sunny, a mild breeze – which is a pretty comfortable temperature because it’s not too hot, not to cool. Then, it quickly changed to what we expect in October, which is cloudy, a little rain, cool temperatures – not really shorts weather. We all thought Fall must be here. But then, after a few days of that it became really warm again. I mean really warm. The classrooms were heating up, there wasn’t any breeze, and it was too warm, even in the shade – bring out the shorts again. But then after about another week, it slowly became colder again. The rain came back and one day, we even thought it might be hailing outside, so we put the shorts away one more time.
Trying to predict what type of weather we’re in for each day has been a challenge and don’t even get me started on the days that start out warm and sunny only to end up cold and rainy or vice versa. Then, as if we haven’t had enough variety, a storm pulled in a few days back bringing with it sideways rain as well as wind gusts that rattled houses and broke fences and branches – all of which led to the usual power outages around town. Aside from it not yet being cold enough to snow … is there any weather we haven’t seen yet? Maybe I shouldn’t say that just yet ….
Seeing as we’re getting used to a little bit of everything this Fall, and our sporadic weather isn’t likely to change, I’m curious to know which types of weather you like best. Ripplers … what are you hoping the rest of Fall will be like? What weather makes the top of your list and why? If you’re visiting this post from somewhere else in the world, please tell us what your September has been like where you live.

Hi Mrs. Braidwood,
My favourite weather is when it snows but that’s not really likely in this Fallish season. I like it when it snows because the annoying bees are gone. I also like it because it’s really fun and you can build lots of snow stuff. My favourite Fall weather so far (our September) was when it was really sunny and there was a breeze when you ran and it felt really nice at school. I’d rather be in shorts than pants but that doesn’t mean I really love Summer either thanks to the annoying wasps. I hope the rest of Fall is really sunny like the first few days you mentioned … and the bees die soon.
What was your favourite weather so far (and what do you think of bees)?

Hi Mrs. Braidwood! I am hoping for Some sun with a little bit of a nice breeze. It’s always nice for it to be warm on halloween, because then you can dress up in any costume you would like. What type of weather would you like?

Honestly, I would love it if it was hotter! I love the sun personally! I just hate it when we have to go outside on a rainy day, really changes the mood! So this year I look forward to a very sunny year!

Hello Mrs. Braidwood. The weather has been crazy! We had a very late summer. That was very disappointing because Summer is my favourite season. It made up for it’s self for a couple days though. It wasn’t as hot as I thought it would be though. You can tell that it is getting colder out. Yesterday was very windy. I have noticed a lot of wasps at our school.
I really hope that the rest of our Fall is not that cold and rainy. When it rains it is kind of depressing. I sometimes do like a brezze but I pefer hot sunny weather!

I am really hoping the weather stays sunny and warm because I love playing infecttion in the forest but we can’t do that if it’s raining. The reason I don’t like rain so much is because it’s cold and wet but don’t get me wrong I love playing zombie tag in the dark in the rain with my friends.

Hi Mrs.Braidwood! The weather has been all over the place! I hope the rest of fall is not rainy thats for sure especially for Halloween! Last year it rained on Halloween and it sucked! My favourite seasons are Summer and Winter. What are your favourite seasons?

I think the rest of the fall will be rainy. And that’s what makes the top of my weather list. I love rain, its wet and warm and as long as your not wearing a jacket it’s comfortable (Because rain gets absorbed into cotten jackets and I only like wearing cotten jakets)

Hello, Mrs.Braidwood, It’s Matt. I hope the weather this fall stays warm. I really want to get outside at play some golf. This entire summer has been up and down, sunny, then rainy. The rain just changes the mood from happy to depressing. I hope the weather changes soon!

I would really like this fall to be nice and sunny for the beginning of school. My favorite weather is snow and I really like snow because, I love making snow Mans and snow woman, and absolutely love making snow angels.

Because than I can play out side with my friends. And I can play all my favorite sports like soccer and basketball and playing catch.

Yep the weather has been rather lousy lately but to think of the more likely good things in the word. I don’t really think of the weather in the first place.

It’s Kayla and I personally like the sunny weather, Because like my mom says I’m like sugar,I melt in the rain. But I always seem to survive the rainy weather so maybe I don’t melt after all. I hope the rest of the year sunny and warm.(except for winter then I hope it snows.)

I honestly feel a bit different… I loved this Fall’s rainy weather! I love the rain.. because then, when I go outside just for a walk-around, there isn’t very many other people outside with me. I like being alone.. because I enjoy just thinking about things. I find that the rain just helps me think, I guess it’s because I’m a writer, and most of the things I write are somewhat dark.. and maybe a bit of depression here and there. I can’t help but wonder.. what do all of you guys ( and girls! ) like most about the rain? Lot’s of comments on why you like the sun and snow… but none other then Liam’s about the rain…
